 Aim:

I want to find out if milk will help reduce the burn of the hot sauce.

Why are chillis so hot in our mouths?

Method:

Equipment:

• Hot Sauce
• Toothpick ( If wanted )
• Stopwatch

Instructions:

1. Get all of your equipment
2. dip the toothpick in hot sauce 
3. suck the hot sauce off the toothpick

It dook 3 minutes for the spice to go away 

It took 7 miutes to go away with the water

The coke worked better than the ones we have done so far it went away in 2 minutes 

The milk worked the best with a time of 30 sec it worked

Blind taste testing

 Aim: 

I want to find out how things taste.

• Blindfold
• Unknown foods

Instructions:

1. Get your equipment
2. put your blindfold on
3. Taste test the food
4. Is it, Sweet, Sour, Spicy, Bitter, Salty
5. Guess what food it is 
6. Record your observations in a table

Results:

Food #1

When had the food in my hand I was nervous 

And then when I ate t it was a Lollie I couldn't taste it until I unblocked my nose  

Food #2

We dipped the popsicle stick in the water we had to dip it in the powder

When blocked our noses some of us could taste it but when we unblocked our noses we could taste it we realized it was citric acid

Food#3 

It was baking soda we weren't impressed 

It was very bitter it was at the back of my tongue that reacted 

Food #4 

It was salt

It reacted at the front of our tounges it was very salty...

Food #5

It was sugar

We all loved it none of us spat it out it was yum

Food #6

it was un favored sherbert

For me it was gross It also fizzed in y mouth

 Music in the late decades

Hello!

A couple of weeks ago we were working with some slides that were based on the late decades of music and we never actually blogged it so we're doing one of our favourite slides now. So actually two people were working on the slide it was Me and Lucy so thanks lucy for the help :]

Ukuleles

The Ukulele

 Hello :]
A couple weeks ago we got to play with the ukuleles! that was super fun. I had to teach Mrs. Allan because I was one of the only people that knew who to play the ukulele already. Last week we didn't do anything else with the ukulele because we had a writing assessment.

What is a Ukulele?

A Ukulele is like a small version of a gutair, It's just smaller, has only 4 strings and 4 tuning heads.

How many parts of the ukulele are there?

So all up there is around 10 parts to the ukulele Here is an image to show you

P.E Football

 Hello! This past two weeks we have been playing football instead of netball and it's actually been really fun we are doing this blog post because 1. we have to do it and 2. so we can like go past on the rules and stuff I don know anyway 

Rules (That I learned) 

1. You can not touch the football with your hands

2. There's (We played this way) 7 aside we only had 9 people

Drills

1.How to stop and turn The teacher taught us that and we also kinda knew it 

2. how to dribble I knew how to do this but I SUCKED and now I'm actually a bit better at dribbling 

3. How to juggle I already knew how to juggle the ball and I was kinda good it's just I didn't know what it was called so I learned what it was called 

anyway I'm done talking now bye!

these past 2 weeks for P.E we have been playing netball and today we were required to make a blog post about what we have learned about netball here ar the most important rules of netball

1. Dont step with the ball
2. Dont dribble the ball
3. Include everybody
4. Have to be 1 metre away to defend
5. You have 3 seconds to hold the ball
6. Every Position has boundaries

Gummy bear Osmosis

 Aim:

I want to find out what happens to gummy bears when I we put them into different Solutions.

Prediction:

I predict that they will grow in water and that the colour will evaporate a small bit.

Method

Equipment

• 4x Gummy bears (Duhh) Of the same colour
• 2x Petri dish 
• 2x Paper towels 
• Marker/Vivid
• Water
• Sugar water
• Salt water
• Electronic scales
• Beaker
• Measuring cylinder
• Safety googles

Instructions

1. Gather Equipment
2. Put on safety glasses
3. Using the marker, write the name of the condition on the Petri dish, DRY, WATER, SALT WATER, SUGAR WATER
4.  Weigh gummy bears with scales and put the amount of grams on the Petri dish your gonna put the gummy bear on 
5. Measure 40 ml of the solution and pour it into the Petri dish

What does Osmosis mean?
Osmosis is the movement of water from a less concentrated solution to a more concentrated solution through a partially permeable membrane. The important thing to remember is that osmosis is the movement of WATER ( or other solvent ) not the particles dissolved in the water.

Why did the water gummy bear get bigger?

the water gummy got bigger because if you think of a net around the gummy bear the water can get into the net because its small but the sugar and the salt cant because its bigger and the water can get into the net!
